What is the Health Management Excellent Company System?

This is an awards system certified by the Japan Health Conference with the aim of creating an environment in which large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and other corporations that practice particularly excellent health management can receive social recognition from employees, job seekers, related companies, financial institutions, etc. by making them "visible."

2. Health Management Policy

Article 1 (Purpose)

Based on the "Daiwa Living Health Declaration," we have established a policy for health management with the aim of maintaining and improving the physical and mental health of our employees and their families, and creating a healthy and comfortable working environment.

Article 2 (System)

  1. The health and productivity management system is organized with the President and CEO as the person in charge.
  2. The General Affairs and Human Resources Department will work in cooperation with the Promotion Department, industrial physicians, the Health Committee, and the Health Insurance Association to establish annual and mid-term implementation plans for health management and promote these plans.
  3. The General Affairs and Human Resources Department will regularly report to the Executive Committee on the status of health management.

Article 3 (Details of Initiatives)

We support the health promotion of each employee so that they can independently work to maintain and improve their physical and mental health. Based on compliance with laws and regulations, we implement systematic and comprehensive health management within the following framework from the perspective of preventive medicine.

  1. Primary prevention: Promote initiatives that contribute to improving the work environment, such as stimulating communication in the workplace.
  2. Primary prevention: Promote efforts that contribute to disease prevention by raising health awareness among employees through training, etc., and by providing vaccinations, etc.
  3. Secondary prevention: Promote efforts that contribute to "early detection and early treatment of diseases" by thoroughly implementing health checkups and providing health guidance after health checkups.
  4. Tertiary prevention: Promote efforts to prevent recurrence and aggravation of disease by establishing regulations and systems such as leave and return-to-work systems.
